Baby Aniqa - The Born Fighter

Baby Aniqa – The Born Fighter

Baby Aniqa, born in the 27th week, was a born fighter. She had complications as we are aware of the fact that Pre-Term babies are sensitive and difficult to handle  Furthermore, her lungs were immature, which causes a difficult case for doctors to handle. Baby Aniqa weight approximately 2.2 lbs when she was born, but she was a fighter. Gradually her progress started and we started her feed.  Pre-term babies tend to have neck problems as well which causes digestion issues when feeding. She was in MMI Pediatric Department for over 6 weeks but with the help of our trained doctors and highly equipped NICU, she survived and got discharged after 6 weeks.  Consultant, Dr. Anila Haroon, and her team were in charge of the treatment and Aniqa's weight was brought up to a normal level. Furthermore, we also trained Aniqa's mother on how to take care of her, and on how to prevent hypothermia.  MMIH is well equipped with the latest technology and trained doctors in order to handle situations like these.  Alhamdulillah, Baby Aniqa returns safe and healthy to home.
