The full-term baby girl was delivered via emergency C-section due to fetal distress, decelerations in CTG with thick meconium staining, and aspiration. APGARs were 7/1, 8/5. NRP protocol followed soon after birth and the baby was shifted to NICU. Bubble CPAP support was given to the baby from day 1 and on the second day, the baby was put on mechanical ventilator support. The baby showed arching and stiffness hence planned for a CT scan brain which showed bilateral swollen basal ganglia due to hypoxic insult. EEG did, which was normal therefore baby was intubated on day 7th. On day 11, the baby was shifted to the mother’s side and started direct feeding which was tolerated well. On the 13th day of life, the baby was discharged to home with parents in stable condition with a good weight of 2.8Kgs.
